Meet Our Uganda Team

Immaculate Nambalirwa
Program Manager
Immaculate is a liaison for the children's schools and oversees activities within the home. She has a background working with youth organizations and strongly believes that any form of investment in children is an investment for the future. She was raised by a single mother and her journey was marked by challenges but also triumphs- experiences she finds joy in sharing with the children as a guiding light in their lives. She is now pursuing a degree in economics and management at Makerere University and aspires to see Jajja's Kids reach its mission and all its goals.
Ronnie Sseruyange
Program Director
Ronnie is the heart and soul of Jajja’s Kids Africa. He manages the overall operation of the home and development of the children and supervises a staff of four. Ronnie served as the “general contractor” for the completion of Jajja’s Kids permanent home. His love for children and helping others, in addition to his experience growing up on the streets of Kampala, have fueled the amazing and tremendous work he has done for Jajja’s Kids.
He is greatly impressed by how far the organization has come and hopes to help it achieve even greater heights.

Emmanuel Magezi
Social Worker
Emmanuel had a dream of becoming a counsellor since childhood due to the life he lived as an orphan and the impact his grandparents' guidance had on him. He has a certificate in security intelligence and a bachelor’s degree in adult and community education from Makerere University. He uses his expertise to help support the lives of Jajja’s Kids psychologically, mentally and physically.

Sylvia Kyokushaba
Housemother
Sylvia prepares all meals and takes care of the home and yard. She resides at the home. Sylvia has a great love for children and is convinced they are the world’s future. Sylvia is a single mother of a son, Jethro age 6 years who lives with her mother back in Mbarara. Being part of Jajja’s Kids is personally gratifying for her to celebrate the lives of Jajja's children since they have the opportunities she never had as a child. As a "big sister" to Jajja's Kids, she shares her life story to instill great values for the opportunities they have.

Maurice Alengo
Security Guard
Maurice is primarily responsible for the security of the children and property. He maintains the guest book and children’s sign-in/sign-out book. He resides at the home. Maurice has been working in the security industry for over five years. He is very happy to be a part of a cause that is giving back to the community. He is also happy for the opportunity it gives him to take care of his two daughters, Patience and Finnela, ages 4 and 2 years respectively. He hopes to continue growing through the opportunity of being part of Jajja's Kids
